FOR THOSE WHO ANSWER THE CALL
As a first responder, you're always there for others. Now, it's my turn to be there for you. I provide confidential therapy services tailored to the unique challenges you face—from high-stress situations to the emotional weight of daily calls. My goal is to create a safe space where you can process your experiences, build resilience, and take care of your mental well-being, so you can continue to serve your community with strength and confidence.
My interest in helping first responders first began when I was young and had many friends with family members who were nurses, cops, firefighters, and, more than likely, a combination of the two. I always admired their bravery and passion for serving and protecting their city, and often thought about how difficult it must be, not only for them, but for their families, as well. Yet rarely, they complained. This interest grew into a passion during my graduate school experience, where I narrowed my focus and research on the trauma they endure daily as part of the job and its effects on various aspects of their life.
ABOUT
I was born and raised in San Francisco and attended the University of Oregon, where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Sociology, with a focus on the effects of trauma on the brain, body, and relationships. I went on to receive my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University, where I focused on trauma-related populations, specifically in first responders and with childhood trauma.
I utilize a non-judgmental, strengths-based, and curious approach with a combination of trauma-focused CBT, existentialism, and DBT to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other disorders. I value confidentiality, collaboration, empathy, and humor in treatment.
